@trappytrap405 how is India going to play a more important role? Pray tell.. It's been 6 years of China +1 and India has gotten the least investments compared to Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Vietnam etc

Trade, mining and slavery via colonization and forced relations have been responsible for much of the west's prosperity. European powers went to the far corners of the world waging wars to trade. The whole premise of it de-coupling from 20% of worlds GDP is ludicrous.

tell us what is "a lot" of tech companies moving to India, Vietname etc? Apple manufatures 10& of iphones in India and Indians go shouting Apple has "moved" to India...lol who makes the remaining 80-90%?

India? it imports 100B from China each year and a lot of it to drive its own nascent industries. As for US, would Joe Blow accept paying 5x the amount for his tools from Walmart? Would he accept 10% inflation on goods and his own mortgage? I doubt so. People will come to understand and appreciate what China's large scale manufaturing at low prices did for their middle class lives in the last 4 decades @beasley1232
