  1. Do you know why China banned them? Because they refused to abide by local laws. In the case of Facebook that was used by terrorists in Xinjiang in 2009, it refused to comply with the courts for requested info. FB (as well as Google and the others) were told to either abide by local laws or leave. They chose to leave. Up to that time, there was no ban on any of them.
