  1. China should more aggressively promote universities like Tsinghua, Peking etc in Singapore. There is no need for scholarship but promotion is key. This will mould the next Gen leaders of Singapore. Or at least bring some balance in world view among Singapore next Gen leaders

  3. There is no American military base in Singapore. The PLA is also welcome to use Changi Naval base which is a Singapore base, on an adhoc basis (and PLAN does sometimes) or even negotiate a deal with Singapore to use it regularly.

Depends on what people define a base to be but it is certainly not like US bases in Japan or Korea or even Philippines. As mentioned, even the PLAN and Indian Navy use Singapore as a logistical stop. But the US has a formal agreement on place.

  5.  @dimascennel2075  occasionally, Singapore temporarily hosts US carriers and subs as well. The Singapore naval bases (there are 2) are really the only feasible locations in south east Asia for advanced logistical, maintenance etc purpose.
