  1. That's not correct. Outer Manchuria was Chinese till mid 1800s ​when Russia forced a treaty upon China while the latter was fighting the Taiping Rebellion.  @rossiskaya

  2. ​ @russiaandtheworld1597 outer Manchuria was under Chinese control, buddy. Till mid 1800s. The city was once known as Yongmingcheng during the Yuan Dynasty in China. It was later known as Haishenwai. It means the bend in the sea (崴子) where sea cucumbers (Haishen) are abundant. During the Qing Dynasty it was ceded to Czarist Russia and renamed Vladivostok.
