@bharat8287 please check world Bank data, not Wikipedia! India's 2020 GDP was 2.622T. The year 2021 has not been computed yet. Either way.. It's not a big economy.

@jarjarbinks3193 and China compares to the US because the US is a worthy competitor on many fronts. And GDP-wise, it is within sight within 10 years. On the other hand. India compares itself with others and often with China where it has got zero chance of catching up on any front in the foreseeable future. That's a fact. India does lead in stuff like illiteracy, poverty, infant mortality, crime etc. That is also a fact. 😏
