  1. Democracy is not a prerequisite for rapid development. Taiwan, Korea and even Singapore saw rapid growth under quasi dictatorship / martial law during their ascent decades ago.

  2. Wasting time comparing India to China. The latter is over 5x larger and way ahead in all developmental metrics. Have this discussion in 30 years. And let's not pretend that China will not grow while India does over the next 2 decades!

  3.  @ArmageddonIsHere  I would not call growing 5.4% 'crashing spectacularly'. What is escaping many is the entire hubris surrounding the India story and the way it's being pumped. Best to deliver results first... Like China has spectacularly done over 4 decades and it ain't done by any means yet.
