First of all, the US has never offered the f35 to India. The plane participates in many air shows around the world. Means nothing . Second, if India aligns too closely with US in regard to weapons and equipment, even if America never sanctions India, the country will go bankrupt within less than a year of a major war with China. Of course it could go further if it begs for help like what ukraine is having to do . Just look at the costs of buying AND maintaining American hardware in peacetime. Then multiply that by at least 100 for wartime.
