I really just want to put out there that the excuse of "my parents didn't teach me" is just not as effective nowadays when we have The Internet in our pockets and accessible almost 24/7 (some countries and locals may differ). I grew up in a household that didn't teach me anything, even when I asked, so the second I got internet access I started teaching myself, at age 14 (2004). There are still gaping holes in my knowledge that my parents should have filled, and it was waaaay harder than it would have been if I had effective parents, but you can literally type "how to take care of a household" in Google and get a million articles and videos.

  3. This is in large part due to many cultures forcing men to bottle all their emotions other than anger. If you aren't even allowed to feel those emotions, you don't learn how to deal with them. The same holds true for women getting angry. If we do, we're being over emotional or "b******", no matter how reasonable it is.
