It's taken me ten years of struggle and research since I had to leave college the first time for health reasons to accept that there simply is no place for me in work culture as it stands in the US today. I CANNOT physically work more than part-time, cannot do physical labor, cannot do long hours at a screen, and that puts me out of most jobs and definitely out of range for healthcare, which I, y'know, kind of need to not die and keep working. So I've basically given up trying to get out of poverty and now I'm becoming a disability advocate in the tech world and spitting all over the way it's structured until it, and other industries, change to allow people like me a chance to work.
