  2. Dude, Im a woman, I've lived in poverty most of my life--I get not having much extra cash for fun stuff. There are a million things that are great to do as first dates that cost zilch or very little that can show who you both are far better than expensive dinner: the classic walk in the park/beach, board game shops (co-op or team activities are AWESOME at building attraction and learning about someone), any sort of free event around your town or city, museums often have free days, my dream date would be finding a bunch of weird books in a library or bookstore, studying together. Anything that puts your focus primarily on eachother and working something out together. I've got easy portable card games i like to bring to places where i want to learn about other people. I'll also bring my art and photography or show them my music. Anything to springboard a conversation. Weird animal facts are the MOST universally good awkward silence fillers I've found. 😂 Everyone likes at least one kind of animal. Also i really like to listen to people geek out about things they're passionate about-'you just gotta make sure you don't completely dominate the conversation with your geekout.
