  2.  @jordantabakov1644  I'm eastern European too (Romanian), my country suffered a lot under communist rule, but that does not change the fact that at least western Europe was liberated, and became stronger than ever which allowed them to win the cold war and it also led to the fall of the USSR and communism in Europe.

  3.  @VegetaWien89  The British Empire was doomed even before WW2 started, nationalist liberation movements began to rise all over the empire. As for Churchill he could do nothing to avoid the fall of the empire. Chamberlain declared war on Germany and Churchill had to continue the fight, he could not just ask for peace with the nazis.

  27. Actually it was not at the same time, the Soviets invaded Poland two weeks later (17 September) and the Polish government did not want the army to fight the Soviet invaders.
