If they were rescuing people from a genocide, they would move in and hold the line not bombard settlements.

You may be inserting that because of her accent. That said you could see her bias.

As long as you are clear about what is fact and what is opinion, it is ok. Also, if the opinion to news ratio is high >55% I don't think it should be framed as news.

The UN needs to be more involved in ensuring the people of the world are protected from their governments and external aggressors.

hahaha

People complaining about truckers playjng music in the street, forgetting the world is not a safe place, and life is not guaranteed. We are fortunate for what safety we have but should never forget what it takes to keep it. I wish for a speedy resolution and the wellbeing of those involved.
2
Standing idle and letting it happen is how the League of Nations failed. The UN needed to step in, and they failed to do so.
2
Aren't you supposed to abstain from any case where you are personally involved? Pass it off to someone else?
1
Didn't they just call out the foolishness of the same thing when the other president was going to do the same? If you are going to get involved you have the obligation to ensure you leave it in a position where the safety and rights of the citizens are ensured. Ahem... HongKong...

If it was, they should be commended for their initiative. (ideally if no one was killed, but during a war it's unfortunately a luxury).
1
I didn't know Putin used to look like Jason and his brother Andrew. I think we need to have someone play a gaem, "Who is your daddy and what does he do?"
1
@blazeyfam The UN failed when they didn't act to maintain the borders of Ukraine.
1
She was warned about the public eye and the media.
1
Because then it justifies more fighting, but the biggest issue is the UN failed to prevent this from even happening in the first place, which is their primary role.
1
"destroyed?" or "attacked"/"damaged"?
1
@agenericbot objectively people both rioted and protested peacefully around the world for months and a cop was convicted. Objectively people from all origins care about excessive force and murder by police. it was only once the news transitioned to scapegoating and guilt by flesh-tone that opinion started fragmenting. Regardless, people died and whatever the reasons leading up to it (and any murder), it is a tragedy and we should take steps to solve the root problems and prevent these situations from occurring.

Honestly, kids are going to learn from reality or from school. That said, something that is optional vs. in the curriculum is a different story.
1
It should not have even been NATO's Problem. The UN has failed in their primary directive of peace and human rights by facilitating the Russian government and inhibiting the response from every other member nation who wishes to prevent such conflicts.
1
Even if they did, you are at war, you can't really expect to bomb someone and not get bombed back. April fools Joke?
1
You know how bad speech recognition software is, to assume it is accurate in every case is absolutely ridiculous.
1
That's actually a surprisingly small number
1
Probably shouldn't have showed the license plates.
1
I don't know who wins in a fight Putin or the guy in charge of the operatives.
1
I am sure that's not the only cause, not that it isn't significant.
1
I was hoping they were going to let him pilot.

That is an invalid argument (implied argument) for the topic. That said, there is no skin tone line between who is what. These days people call others something based on what's convenient to their argument at the time. Do Israelis have 'white skin'? Do Greeks? Is 'olive' 'white' or 'brown'? At what point is someone 'olive'? At what point is 'brown'? Is it based on where they're from or what they look like? Skin tone isn't a multiple choice question it is an infinitely variable range with more than one axis. Now was Jesus of Western European descent... Almost certainly not. But for anyone who doesn't believe in him, on top of being invalid for being unrelated, that argument would be inconsequential as it is about a fictional icon by their own belief.
1
It's not a first amendment everywhere but it is both an enshrined right in the uk and a universal human right per the UN.
1
I would have much preferred if no one died and putin was thrown out.
1
The interviewer really proved the interviewee's point about probing questions. Although the interviewer did take a more adversarial approach to it, some people conflate the two, but probing for more detail is pretty much the sole job of an interviewer. You are finding and presenting the facts of the story.

Wow this audio is quiet
1
Now this, is the best way to protest a dictatorship
1
can't be bothered to pay for narration BBC?
1
Never strive for unity by making borders based on ethnicity or culture.
1
By the UN's cowardice and failing to learn from the lessons of history. The UN must protect the human rights of all people, prevent conflict between both non-member and member nations, as well as, stand up when the population seek to overthrow dictatorships. If they want to maintain world peace they must police international law, and enforce that peace not simply ticket violations of it.
1
A new defensive alliance should be made with other non-nato countries.
