Whoever started the TACO discussion may have gotten exactly what they wanted since he is now manipulated into being even less reasonable.

We can only expect more absurdity and instability from the US president. Moving a business to the US would be a bad gamble.

And Russia annexing Crimea is what got them kicked out no? either way, Russia's bad acts did not start after they left the G8.

5:30 lol that's rich coming from the worlds now least reliable trade 'partner'.

Well building nuclear weapons is escalation in the existing conflicts of the region. But, yes it is just Russia claiming Ukraine escalates by defending itself. The one thing I will note is Iran, like Russia, seems to choose a lot of civilian targets. Though in that regard, I have not heard if Israel also partook in some war crimes. Which would be condemnable also. I had expected the world to take this kind of approach with NK, because it is less by a guy who was known for threats and rash military moves even before that. NK has been goid so far, but if they start feeling threatened only an upstanding self-sacrificing individual may refuse the order and prevent catastrophe.

Why would I move my business to the US at the expense of the global market? I would have higher costs and the 'protective' tariffs are not going to be an advantage in 4 years. That means all the expendature in moving there will be burned.

If they were smart the first thing they would have done is start negotiations with the US, and EU (since on their own their agreements may be unreliable) to exchange a security guarantee, favourable trade, and mutual non-interference in exchange for nuclear disarmament and ceasefire. Given the situation they likely would have agreed, fearing WWIII, Israel would have been forced to comply. But

"we have agreed to follow a past agreement" Good job US...

I have to wonder if this is just to push China closer to Russia. The president sure seems to favour Russia above anyone else.

If he hadn't tariffed China and instead helped the wedge between Russia and China... How can you not foresee driving them together. 🤦♀️

For Canada US goods have gone insane, tairffs on components, plus tariffs coming into Canada, plus 'greedflation'. Makes it easy to buy other products. However, it is difficult to find some foreign products. Search engines direct us to the USA's websites. So if say, we want to buy auto-parts straight from Japan or Europe, they can be all but invisible.

Those yields aren't anywhere close to overcoming the artificial inflation caused by the current administration. "Tie up your money for 30 years guys! It's a great idea, don't invest in foreign countries where you will get a higher return (and ironically less risk)."

To be fair I have read a lot of research articles and quantity alone is worthless. We need a better metric, to judge research. But that doesn't discount your points (though Harvard alone is not the end all and be all in innovation).

To be fair, anyone adopting the use of huawei chips is inviting spyware.
