  4. Those are people who didn't talk to their grandparents. Not only my personal grandparents, but I volunteered with the elderly, I know that (a hostage to marriage) wasn't the reality for the vast most of them (and not all of them were married so I heard all kinds lf perspectives). Going back further, even arranged marriages, some people liked them, there were benefits to it. Some people today say they would prefer that to tinder BS. Because in many cases, although arranged they were not forced. They knew the score, the costs the benefits and at times put family before self. Other times they fell in love or were merely content. The narrative gas gotten so miopic that the views of the past are a selection of exclusively the worst aspects. As you say, look at the 50s portrayed in the 50s all the way up till the mid 2000s. Now look at how they are portrayed post 2014.

  5. So even if you get a ton of matches it doesn't go well... I will tell you one thing. When the pandemic hit and everyone was stuck at home like me (as I work from home), suddenly the ladies mysteriously started treating guys like actual humans and talking to them. ...Well more like actual humans. Most were still just using you to have a conversation with no intent to go further. A bandaid for their isolation.
