I would be more amused if it was after Kevin the dog.
1
I like the pins.
1
In the video it may actually recoil the least.
1
lol I should have waited until you watched the high speed before pointing that out.
1
It's all well and good to keep old machines in servicable condition, (the alternative being leaving them for the trash) but trying to mislead people is a whole other thing.
1
If there are other areas of history you would be interested in exploring as a hobby, we would appreciate learning along with you.
1
The man knows how to get an amazing like to dislike ratio.
1
hmm... the video playback got weirdly fast, but the audio is fine. I wonder if it is the source or YT.
1
I like that the real meaning is the one I presumed. "Bess" generic woman's name, not unlike "Old Betty", or I guess... "Old Bess". Things you name a faithful companion.
1
Thanks for sharing this with us all.
1
So nothing came of this?
1
That's quite the title

*now with extra wood*

With HUDs the value of that spitzer handgun concept may go up. As we know, magazines do not necessarily be as they are widely, though it will definitely be a barrier to adoption.
1
@MrSumphora I wouldn't say only, but if the evidence suggests it's a majority than it did work more against his point than for it. As he himself wouldn't want to arm criminals, that goes against everyone's interests (...except the criminals). But as others have mentioned there were other home made firearms even without his design.
1
There was also that steel disk launcher the guy from (demolition ranch?) tested. That was different but pretty cool.
1
When you want to have a magazine, but you also want to only pull the trigger once.
1
It is a nice looking handgun. Though from what I have seen I have no interest in owning any pistol without a fixed barrel.
1
It's nice that Utreon exists, otherwise we would have no good way to watch when YT censors something. Be it demonetzation or other.
1
Not only did they destroy guns, they polluted the oceans. Good job guys, good job.
1
We could manufacture a left handed EM2 within a month probably. Rapid prototyping today is very rapid, and if you are merely taking an existing design and mirroring it... that's not even prototyping, that's just micro-manufacturing a reproduction.
1
I like it. Constraints breed creativity.
1
I do like it in white. But I would still probably go brown.
1
I think the Laugo did a lot better than those other pistols you ran, unless I am mistaken. The biggest issue seemed to be your reflex for higher bore-axis pistols.
1
I would love to see a disassembly.
1
I don't know how it is in terms of reliability/maintenance or cost, but it certainly seems like the best gun for everyone to adopt at the time.
1
@KonradSeverinHilstad Someone once argued about the Aztecs, but... something about human sacrifice, doesn't sound like having it together.
1
So if someone found the issue and informed the infantrymen then the chances of this happening would be fairly small. Also that rivet would definitely help.
1
I would enter if it were legal here.
1
It would be great to keep that as it is for history's sake. Then make a finished one by replicating its parts.
1
I am in the minority it would seem.
1
@kommandantgalileo doge fighting?
1
I could say, "the Johnson is a nice looking rifle". I will instead say, "That's a niice Johnson".
1
on the bottom face of the slide there?
1
The most gun-blade of gun-blades.
1
...wait, can we Fundraise for Ian to get a musem, we can build a series of steel buildings then accept all of the firearms donated. Maybe raise money by having a range for visitors to try some of the guns with multiples in good condition. I bet we could do it. 2.56 million subscribers, $20+ each... Get some corporate donors... Then Ian gets a supply of arms to make videos without having to be constantly on an airplane. hmmm... tempting to build a business plan. If this gets enough likes and Ian okays it, I will do that.
1
I bet they would have been able to fine tune it ovet time. On another note, I find myself missing the comparative tests more and more. Could you make just a couple of standardized tests for something like functional accuracy, mechanical accuracy, or malfunction rate? Even if it's not everything, it would just add so much more information.
1
The slam fire system seems like a very poor concept.
1
Couldn't they just swap the barrel for a bit more weight?
1
For a weapon like this (where the weapon's disguise is fundamental to it's function) would you want to document it? Or would you want it's production to be done in secret? Couldn't you examine the metallurgy to date the piece? I mean anthropologists and archaeologisty have been using many thorough dating processes for years, it seems like a trivial question.
1
... Have I watched an older version of this video? (Newer version?... I will just search)
1
LMAO guess how long it takes me to make and edit a video. Let me put it this way, for 20 minutes of video It takes over upwards of 10 hours of editing.
1
3:50 Turns out not everything Ian says is canon.
1
How controllable do you think it would be in a bit larger of a calibre?
1
I am hoping Ian will one day re-enact pistol trials using replicas.
1
Man it would be embarrassing it the stemple were better than the Thompson.
1
I am trying to remember the gun you covered that either went from either a rifle to a machine gun or a machine gun to a rifle. But yesI would say the AK it has had so many divisions and iterations because it was used by so many divergent countries.
1
'Asking for trouble' must be Ian's middle name.
1
More Stretch goals at 1,150,000 please. It's a decent stretch goal
1
I must be learning from these videos since this is the first time I understood the function of a component before Ian. (In film time)
