  2. I think we would be all far better off ignoring the 1911 and dedicating that time on fixed barrel designs. ...But this is right next door to that so I am somewhat happy. Because tilting barrel is dumb (a functional idea at the time, cheap, but limiting in the long term). But the conversion causes complexity, (and resulting expense) and means less refinement. It is too bad it got pushed beyond a reasonable price though.
