The best saying is: "It's not legitimate, but it's legal". I say this because international laws may be great, but just like at the state level, they are not even enforced at the world level, plus they have double standards. Let's just compare Ukraine and the war in Israel and combine the statements about the war in Ukraine with the statements about the war in Israel. We will see that they completely contradict logic, that is, they cancel one statement with another statement and vice versa.
