there are plenty of jobs... help wanted and now hiring signs everywhere.... but people getting benefits don't want to work... lol. the progressives don't want to compromise at all or they would be negotiating lower costs for us tax paying citizens.... instead, they want our great grandchildren born into debt. no thanks.

yes, audit it all! the feds have not been audited in my lifetime, while every state gets audited, every town and city gets audited... the federal government is no different! people forget citizens rule our country, according to our constitution.

@RichardSmith-px1mu i'm all for legal immigration, sure. most americans start first jobs at fed. minimum wage... because they lack work place experience. if they have previous experience, they earn more than anyone starting out... unless, of course, they have crappy work ethics. the thing about immigrants, legal or not... they work harder than most young americans these days... lol. ps. its you're, not your, in your sentence.

@RichardSmith-px1mu well, not sure how many immigrants you know personally, but that describes none of the people i know. unions can be good in some careers, but not all... not like the davos folks want anyway lol

@RichardSmith-px1mu lol, they all came to go to college, and some worked while they attended, most minimum wage jobs because of no experience, but now they have degrees. as i said, unions are great for some trades because that is skilled labor. i don't think low wage jobs need unionized, because they are not meant to be career paying salaries. capitalism allows the poor to become rich, poor choices keeps them poor, though. good thing our constitution does not allow for the socialist, marxist, communists to function here... lol...

@RichardSmith-px1mu some businesses can afford that, most cannot.. especially small businesses. wages are based on experience and knowledge, as they should be. less big government, more self governance...

@RichardSmith-px1mu seems you don't know the difference between those who come legally vs illegally.... lol... i don't know any legal migrants who weren't here for college education, so they obviously aren't now working for low wages. i'd say you thought wrong.

@RichardSmith-px1mu lol, i'm not talking about adults here... if you're an adult making minimum wage, you have bigger problems ahead. had lifer politicians not sold american citizens out, we would still be manufacturing here and not dependent on other countries for our own goods. we used to make almost everything here when i was younger. i don't blame capitalists for that, i blame elected people who get guaranteed, taxpayer funded salaries for their entire adult lives.

@RichardSmith-px1mu nothing wrong with 15 and 16 year olds working. lol obama sold the country out and he was not a republican... i also voted for him first term, but 2nd i saw what a p.o.s he is... i don't vote party, i vote candidate.... maybe that is where your problem is- thinking there is a difference between any of them... lol. democrats signed nafta, that sold manufacturing out in america... at least a businessman started bringing that back here... and also made usa energy independent for the first time in over 50 years (and i didn't vote for trump his 1st time, because i didn't like his tv personality, but trump had great policies for america if you bother to read.) the federal government has no business setting wages at all, to be honest... that whats states are for.... any state can make its own min. wage..... lol! maybe you should try to comprehend our constitution better? there should be no fed. min. wage at all... government has no way of making money, they only get it through our taxes. chew on that one.
