i was a juror on a murder trial before... its where i learned jurors can ask questions, too (in written form, both attorneys need to agree for them to be answered). in the case i served on, the prosecution did not prove that the defendant was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt... while we all believed the person was present when the person died, there was no proof it was the defendant who killed the victim. there were some jurors who already convicted the person based on looks... we had long discussions over what our part of the law is... in the end, unanimous not guilty.
