  1. I was intrigued that football players were supposedly neglecting their training over crossword puzzles. The minute, single-minded concentration used to solve complexities of such a puzzle would cross-train the brain to follow football play strategy, including the play-by-play charts used to convey strategy. (Football charts have always annoyed me.)

  2. Now people have neck strain and focus headaches and eyestrain over their cell phones. Oh, yes, and car crashes. Someone crashed into the back wall of a plaza near me which included the toilet of one of the boutiques there. Rumor had it that the lady who crashed it was looking at her phone instead of concentrating on the traffic.
