The cat doesn't have a complete clavicle. A dog does. You can tell the difference when you pick up a dog similar in size to a cat. A cat will place its head down and forward. A dog can't put its head down too far because of its collarbone. So a dog will slip backwards because its center of gravity is towards the tail while you try to pick it up under the ribs. A cat will pretty much flop equal parts on either side of your hand so your hand holds the center of gravity. Cats will let you tuck their back paws underneath to support them and take the pressure off their belly. So yeah. Cats are liquid. They also fit most any size box. "If I fits, I sits!"

@thecompanioncube4211 some polydactyls do use their extra toes as rudimentary thumbs. It's wild!

@Lit.eral.d0lli I encountered that in my cat, too. He was even declawed! (before my family realized how cruel and debilitating it was.) TL;DR I was standing in the hallway when a bird zipped by my head, and Grovie thundered by my feet. Grovie had cornered and captured the little songbird (probably a sparrow or chickadee). Dad came in speaking in a smooth, high voice while approaching Grovie who had the bird in his paws and teeth on its neck. Birdie was stock still. "whatcha got there, Grovie? Is that a bird? Good boy! Let me see." Dad quickly snatched the bird away—which surprised both—and the bird went "peep!" Dad lavished praise on Grovie and then took the bird outside to release. I'm sure Grovie was quite satisfied with the canned food he got a large portion that he didn't have to work for. The bird wouldn't have been half the serving the canned food was.

@Aliandrin my cat has a portal of some sort right outside my kitchen door somewhere so that he uncannily arrives ready for dinner.

And fluffy around the neck to seem bigger and nearer than they really are, thus faking out the snake.

@idrisa7909 they didn't understand cats are forecasters. These are probably the ones who blame the weatherman for bad weather, too.

You talked about cats just showing up wherever and whenever, like in the video of a claw machine and the cat comes around as if he were the prize from the machine. I firmly believe cats teleport, go through black holes, or through portals only they know!

No judgement! Cats respond best to high voices!
