  1. More than flipping the bird to American taxpayers, there are thousands of clerks who depend on their government jobs for their living ( NOT including Social Security receivers). They are flipping the bird to all the government front line workers, not just military—many who also work at a computer— but also people who work at the Census Bureau, FDA, FCC, USDA, and many other government organizations. Including Congress and their own clerks. These workers are the bottom of the pay hierarchy (not Congress) , yet they—like in all other businesses—are expected to shoulder all the burden of directly providing services while Congress decides whether they will eat tomorrow or not. Whether they get $15.00/hr or nor. Whether they retire or not. Whether they can get hired or not. Congress toys with the lives of so many people.
