  2. I didn't didn't get a chance to see Inuyasha. But Sailor Moon did come from the Moon and was sent to Earth. My point being this is one way that myths and legends are depicted with a modern touch. For example, the movie, The Thirteenth Warrior, based on the Michael Crichton book Eaters of the Dead, was a retelling of the legend of Beowulf.
