When you get the job, the audition doesn't matter anymore.

In America we say "high cotton." If someone is in high cotton, they're rich. Especially a term in the South where cotton is king! (a great commodity common in the South.) A great harvest means you get lots of money for your product. "Bless your heart!" depends on context. If your sad story is truly sad and devastating, "Bless your heart! means commiseration and empathy. If your story is about something that anyone could do without much trouble "Bless your heart" is an insult or a phrase to put you in your place.

My older sister coined it, but maybe others have, too. But here in America, my family says "tough toenails" as you would say, "hard cheese."

In the Kate Winslet movie, when the guru touched her third eye, she probably did feel his power. He was using black magic and invading her spiritual space as well as her physical space and body with unwanted contact. These are all violations of spiritual law as much as societal law. There are no socially written laws to really punish these "leaders" for their spiritual violations. If there were, these "leaders" would not be able to survive all the returns on the bad karma they caused. So their spiritual comeuppance will have to come at a later time, maybe lifetimes ahead.
