  1. I would add blindness and deafness and chemical burns from lye in the ashes. Maybe scoliosis. Starvation or poor nutrition would deny them essential chemicals needed to keep scurvy away. Other vitamin deficiencies would cause rickets and pellegra, which attack the skeleton and deform it. Immunity would be broken down. Skin would break down due to scurvy. Teeth would be lost.
