We evolved to have fine motor control between our fingers (the greatest part to our thumb and forefinger) which is similarly subtly refined to manipulate a paintbrush or dexterously move a Vise Grip. Create calligraphy or write in cursive (a quickly vanishing art and tool). We make tools and techniques for our five fingers, including dancing with all fingers on each hand. The armature and control was already there. But like Wolfgang Mozart, we wove our infinite creativity into it to use that armature in so many ways.
