  3. Bio 101 is almost a survey course. Organismic biology (201) is Bio 101 on steroids. Then it gets hardcore from there. (but then there's physics, chemistry, and other science that gang up on you, too.

  4.  @permenantvacation9973  Free is fine with me! Just think of it as Continuing Ed! In fact, I think it is in a way. Or maybe part of a higher degree like an MS or PhD.

  5. I was thinking that anatomy lab should be available to undergrad biology students, but there's a snag or 2 about that. First, there are the corpses available, and I imagine that human corpses are harder to come by than hares. Second, there's the ick factor. I know when I first saw a cadaver lab I was struck with visceral feelings I felt I might not get over. And I came to the conclusion that cadaver lab was as much to inure future doctors to injury and death as much as to teach them how to treat people, both physically, and socially.

  6.  @trainergold749  I didn't pay that much attention to that. I mostly gawked at the rabbit's giant appendix where it stores food it hasn't processed well yet. About half the size of the colon!

  9. Funny you should say a fat, greasy burger is your habit for hangovers. Even if you say it doesn't work for hangovers, it might be working for something else. I have bipolar disorder. I find that I need red meat regularly (pork and ham are my favorites, but beef is good, too). I find that even though my doc and I have a good regimen for me, I must have red meat as a bit of a calming effect on my brain. There might be something related.

  10. Well, 8 was early enough for me, but I wouldn't care if ice covered the campus! And for me, going from one side of the campus to the other in ten minutes really was pushing my limits even as a 140 lb 18 year old.
