My understanding is that the more that's done to the intestines, the more things happen like adhesions I have a friend who can't eat corn on the cob or popcorn because it lodges and causes irritation and so forth. I try to make sure I eat fiber, bulk and soluble. It's what used to be called roughage. My favorites at this point are celery, Romaine lettuce, and apples. (I like apples and peanut butter. And legumes are good for you.) I try to keep my intestines happy. May you also have happy intestines!
