  2. Virginia O'Hanlon is my heroine! And so is the editor of the Sun a hero of mine! I remember my mom and dad said on a number of Christmases that they had to help Santa. It made sense, and that was when I was older. Before that, I had wondered how it was they knew how to play the electronic games Santa gave us. This was when electronic games were rather new in about 1976 or '77: part electrical and mechanical (like my sister's race car game) and part electronics, like my LED baseball game (probably controlled with a simple counter or 2). Game consoles —even Atari —were still a couple of years off.
