  2. I for one, however, am glad to see these principles being tried so that we have them nailed down by precedent. This is momentous! New law is being made! We are finally codified what had been in people's hearts for 263 years! I'm sorry we actually had to spell it out, but now everyone can be sure.

  3. ​ @haxie4516  Impeachment absolutely does mean something. It means the House judged him guilty twice And then the Senate refused to listen to pertinent evidence. So they voted straight down party lines, with independents voting for conviction. The Senate hearing was a farce.

  4. ​ That's the point exactly. Can a sitting president like Pres. Biden commit crimes while in office and be immune? Trump's problems stem from not seeing past his own nose. He thinks that, should be get back in office, he would never leave it, and thus he wouldn't plan for future presidents, Republican or Democrat. And he doesn't care that the government would be in shambles when he leaves this Earth. He's not going to be here, so why bother?

  5. ​ @PaulForeman-indievisuals  Judge Pan brought up an extreme example to test Trump's assertion of Presidential immunity. This also spoke to Trump's history, that he created an insurrection and the resulting mob illegally penetrated the Capitol building where the House of Representatives and Senate meet with the intent to stop the official count of national votes, and to prevent Vice President Pence from doing his job and certifying the votes. Pence was en route to safety, but—in an extreme act of bravery, despite the insurrectionists looking to hang him—came back to the Senate floor and certified the vote and declared the next president elect.
