  1. I think your defense of Shaggy is spot on. Especially "shut up." Yes, say everything to the lawyer so no surprises come up and you don't find it out from discovery —that is, the part where attorneys share evidence —first. I feel if all of Shaggy's issues are on the table for his attorney, then when his attorney gives over their client's evidence, it is a strong signal that client - lawyer relationship has allowed them to make Shaggy's defense strong in T the known instances, perhaps even stronger than the prosecuting lawyer reckons, and thus maybe the prosecution strategy is weaker than it should be. I think Shaggy's lawyer could have some strength in their case as long as Shaggy shuts up to all but his lawyer.
