I'd say for the greatest bang for the buck in the United States is to plant free trees on your land. I think an owner of acreage in the US does more conservation that way than Established Titles and others could ever hope to do. Let me emphasize again: free trees!

I was interested in the conservation part. I happen not to be able to throw any money around, so that kept me from considering. Yeah, that recurring tree fee is galling. There is also the fact that you can't have such a royal or peerage title in the United States specifically. Also, I noticed 2 of my favorite Scottish YouTubers (Shaunvlog and Wee Scottish Lass) and three of my favorite British YouTubers (Lost in the Pond and Those Two Brits) don't do such sponsorships.

If you own some land—even if you own a house—here in the US, there are ways to make it a conservation haven. I'm not sure what the minimum land is necessary, but you can get free trees from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department to plant on the promise that you won't cut them down for five years. And not just scrub pines. Trees that are native to your area like maples, oaks, birches, and others based on your climate. You have to have the land, but the trees are free. You can also provide for your land to be a nature sanctuary according to F & W guidelines, and you can apply for such a license.
