  2. This is one instance in which knowledge of tech is important. Yes, moving holograms can be done. (Ray Bradbury did one for a Science Fiction convention.) But it's not like Star Wars a New Hope portrays. A scaffolding as big as one for sound at an outdoor ampitheater was necessary to both transmit and receive this hologram. We are nowhere near Star Wars. And the tech cost is astronomical. So his flippant offhand comment makes him look ridiculous.
