  1. 😢 What a big difference! Even in wartime even if an American avoids certain opinions, we can speak freely about war. We can support, protest, raise funds, send help, all without needing to think about getting arrested. Yes, we had some absolute asses as presidents here, but never were we carted off like that for even preparing to say something disparaging to the government. People here in America really don't understand what our first Constitutional Amendment allowing free speech is all about (actually it is 4 freedoms in one: speech, religion, press, and redress of grievances). How freeing it is to the most conservative and liberal people! And everything else follows from it.
