  1. You can add deglaze - based gravy from browning the meat. Then you don't need to add separate gravy. My family always called this gravy "scab gravy."

  2. Veggies I like for texture: Celery, older carrots with skin still on, potatoes, and small-broken broccoli crowns or such divided broccoli with a small bit of peeled rabe.

  3. I like conventional veggies. But the egg yolk is so cute! I'd eat that by hand before the rest of the stew.
