@kerryburns6041 : Did you watch the video? Kinnock's predictions are now the reality we're living with so your claim that all it amounted to was ''mere rhetoric'' is quite obviously false.

@bobtudbury8505 : Nice try but I don't vote for Labour.

@bobtudbury8505 : Oh hehehe hahahaha...good one. You must've really had to strain your brain cell to come up with that gem.
3
@Kerry Burns: Demonstrably false but ok.

@bobtudbury8505 : Any other drivel you want to get out of your system or are you finished waffling complete and utter shite?

@bobtudbury8505 : I don't own an iphone or any kind of television. I am not advocating for ''pure stagnation''. Zero economic growth does not mean zero human development. To conflate the two is just a gross misunderstanding. And yes, the problem (and least when it comes to redistribution of wealth) is greedy capitalists. That you seem to want to defend them is shocking and quite frankly very puzzling. Can you try answering my question now?

@bobtudbury8505 : Oh, so you've got your tongue well and truly lodged in the arse of Thatcher, do you? Not exactly a great look.

@bobtudbury8505 : Oh look, it's trying to be funny again.

@bobtudbury8505 : Oh look, it managed to type out another inane comment in between jerking off over Margaret Thatcher. Cute.

@bobtudbury8505 : Research what exactly? That the Tories are finished? Everyone already knows that.

@bobtudbury8505 : 1. Labour in their current guise are most certainly not a socialist party: they are neoliberals. 2. If you think a populist right-wing party will provide the kind of governance we need to tackle the problems facing society you must be even more stupid than I first thought.

@bobtudbury8505 : Capitalism is dying and destroying our planet. It's becoming an increasingly failed system, one that is entirely unsustainable. What we need is a new form of communism (see David Harvey's work for more on this).

@bobtudbury8505 : Try reading my comment again; you clearly glossed over an important word before going off on an entirely predictable misplaced rant (''communism has never worked hurr durr''). A for 'proper capitalism' vs 'fake capitalism', please stop putting forward blatantly obvious nonsense. Capitalism is well understood and no one regards the current economic system as being 'fake'. My point still stands and you've provided no evidence to refute it. Capitalism requires economic growth to survive: about 3% compound growth ad infinitum. On a planet with finite resources how long can this possibly go on for? Can you name a single physical system in the universe that is able to adhere to this kind of growth without imploding/consuming itself? We should instead be aiming for zero growth and not extracting vast quantities of non-renewable resources from the ground just to make a profit for greedy individuals at the top.
