  36. Grassroots campaigning will be needed to secure a much more progressive approach to politics that will hopefully counter the reactionary populism we’ve seen so much of lately. A shift towards a greener future will also be essential to combat the rampant unsustainable greed that defines corporations that stop at nothing to generate profit. It will be slow, hard work but unless those two objectives are front and centre then we may as well give up.

If you think the majority of news outlets in the UK are far left (the idea that Murdoch is somehow promoting communist ideas through News Corp is utterly laughable) then you really must be living under a rock. The electorate in the UK - particularly in England - are relatively conservative in their outlook, hence the success of the Tory Party when it comes to general elections.
