The electoral college is important. It keeps the majority from having complete control. The founding fathers were afraid of direct election to the Presidency. They feared a tyrant could manipulate public opinion and come to power. Try reading the federalist papers! Hate America all you want, the world would be ran by Nazis if it was not for the US.

  9. Jason Mathison it’s not an ad hominem, it’s the truth. People going to an opinion based website (that is failing) for their facts need to re-evaluate their mental health. After hopefully doing that successfully, maybe they can look up what hearsay, rumor and political hit job mean. After all, this whole investigation was started because of hearsay, rumors and an overt political hit job (Steele dossier) on a man that has triggered the emotions of millions. It’s disgusting how childish biases and hate have filled our government and “intel” services. Trump is much deserved in that aspect!

  19. Jason Mathison what’s considered obstruction seems to be debated by scholars and attorneys, plus situations like firing Comey is something he can do. Everyone has opinions (you know how the saying goes); but opinion is subjective. Opinions have no value in court and the same should be said with the government. Instead on trying to enact policies and fighting for their constituents, Democrats have chosen to spend the last three years bashing Trump.

He can fire whom ever, can’t blame him on Comey considering his ties with the corrupt Clinton family. He can suggest whatever to whomever. Doesn’t mean they have to listen. He can lie, you think every other president hasn’t lied? He definitely has major character flaws (he’s from NY) however the country is doing better than it has in a long time. It’s because of him. The democrats have focused all their energy on Trump, if I was on the left I’d be mad too!

  24. Jason Mathison those are not crimes, how dumb can you be??? Literally you can only be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. Both articles of impeachment are not statutory crimes. I get why you won’t admit to something easily researchable, so you leaving the conversation is a smart choice. Once you have returned to your mother’s basement and you feel safe from the inconvenient truth, look up “executive privilege”.

Jason Mathison it’s funny you don’t even know what he is supposed to be impeached for, kinda defeats anything you want to spew. 1) Obstruction of congress; for refusing to cooperate with the congressional inquiry. Could’ve been remedied by going to the Supreme Court! Instead of wasting millions of dollars and everyone’s time... 2) Abuse of power; for supposedly not giving aid to Ukraine in exchange for information of a political opponent. That may be possible, but it has not been corroborated by witnesses or the President of the Ukraine. Biden did however threaten to do that with the Ukraine, on TV. I’ll provide you with a link to that video, if you like? Emotions and politics don’t mix, think about that. It’s blinding and enables you to make insane assumptions, creating the spread of misinformation.

  27. Jason Mathison it’s not stubborn, it’s knowing that humans make mistakes and we can also be influenced by bias, like you. Teaching is providing an education, but opinion can be uneducated. Some of my colleagues like to insert opinion where it does not belong, which is why I said that. Again, be influenced by opinion while I strictly stay with what is been proven factual.
