The Supreme Court held that the first clause of the Second Amendment that references a “militia” is a prefatory clause that does not limit the operative clause of the Amendment. The militia part is basically “preliminary throat clearing”. As far as English at that time, commas were more significant. The first and the third commas used in the U.S. Second Amendment mark the long subjects of the two clauses that comprise the sentence.

Almost a dollar more than our previous president. The CPI annual average under Biden has increased around 50 points. The rate of inflation during the last presidency hovered between 2.4% and 1.2%, steadily decreasing. These last three years it has hovered between 4.7% to 8% then to 4.1%.
