  44.  @OGBaphomet  My fault, I’ll try to answer that as honest as possible. But just because I don’t believe in your ideology doesn’t mean I suck at all. You’re just being bigoted. So I’ll say it again, I’m saddened that she passed away. She had so much life ahead of her. I will add that I am an educator in Washington state. For the first six years I taught at an affluent middle school, this year I teach at a more rural district for an elementary school. I have had all kinds of students. The district I currently work at has a large Guatemalan immigrant community. Their children are amazing and I find the conversations and interactions to be very rewarding. The parents are very caring and supportive of their children’s endeavors. My 11 year old’s friends are almost entirely Guatemalan girls and she has been best friends with them since kindergarten. I have a strong opinion on the border (extreme vetting of immigrants and a more secure border), but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about them and their possible plight or traumas. I also have a couple of gay and lesbian students and they’re wonderful little people. I don’t try to change them or indoctrinate them. I just want them to be happy and to succeed. I am actually happy that I have these different people in my life! I am telling you this, so you maybe might understand that just because I have a particular opinion doesn’t mean that I don’t care about people. When I worked at the middle school, we had many children and there were some that identified as trans. I never once treated them differently and I cared for them the same as any other student. There were a couple that I felt were doing it for reasons other than they felt they were in the wrong body. However, for us “to better understand and empathize with trans students” we were supplied with the book “Gender Queer”. We were required to read it with our classes. It is a graphic book with images of underaged s3xual situations. I was supposed to read and discuss with my students incidents in this biographical book with 10 and 11 year olds. I brought the images up at a meeting and the staff that were unaware of the book’s contents were disgusted, including the admin. I decided to leave and apply to another district and was hired. That book is now the most restricted book in the national school system for very good reasons. With that being stated, I don’t believe in the ideology, and to be fair, that is exactly what it is. I will still be kind though. But if the parents call the child by their actual name, and the child is completely fine with it, I don’t see it as disrespectful or bigoted. These are children we are talking about and they won’t fully mature until their mid-twenties. Children have grandiose imaginations. I have students that believe they are furries or therians. I don’t mind that they wear tails or ears but when they are galloping around class as animals they will be reminded of the rules. Why? Because they are humans. I will not engage in the delusions of children. Something else to be mentioned, I have done extensive research on the whole movement. The countries that pioneered gender affirming care, have now since banned it or placed heavy research restrictions in regards to minors. I suggest you look up why because it is quite alarming.
