There's a rich history of corruption and graft in the russian space agency. There's a reason the only friends russia has are from being dependent on russian arms trade.

@vksasdgaming9472 you mentioned russia has a clean record of success in space, so I wanted to highlight their record. They were also the first to crash on the moon with Lunar 15. Luckily it was a failed lunar drone program so no people were harmed.

@vksasdgaming9472 their program is notoriously covered up and mysterious. We only know about the crash due to spy planes and satalites. They only ever share their faliure once caught red handed. You do know Apollo program collected samples before russia right? russia tried to beat Apollo by 17 days but their rocket crashed on the moon and was destroyed.

@vksasdgaming9472 well for example russia did have the first space station. The first crew failed to dock and never entered. The second crew to enter Salyut 1 were all killed in space after a 23 day mission. Salyut 1 may be the first attempt at a space station but it was a complete faliure. Their second space station was never crewed and fell from orbit after 2 weeks. The first actually sucesful space station was americas Skylab. It completed it's 24 week mission and the crew returned safely home.
