@floggyWM1 If they have a loaded gun pointed at people waving it around they don't even need intention. That's how fatal accidents happen. Add the tension and stress they can easily make a mistake. Armed robbery with loaded weapons is no small thing. It's often deadly weather intentional or not. I think it's a little safer to actively stop and deter that kind of behavior. As opposed to letting it run rampant.

@cuckingfunt9353 fun fact in the 1970's a bunch of major Canadian banks distributed .38 Snub nose revolvers to tellers. Had them all get pistol licences, told the tellers to draw on would be robbers, dont let them escape. After a few short years the plan was abandoned and all pistols removed from banks. It turned out too many customers and tellers were getting shot or killed. Which happened to be even worse for business.

@cuckingfunt9353 that's a gross over exaggeration. There definitely is a chunk of bad apples in the force, mixed with some questionable training, but 99% ? That's just silly.

And they say cops only shoot the wrong people. Wtf is wrong with key bank? I'm hoping it was a manager who was there who made that "mistake". To be fair I probably wouldn't make the best decisions after witnessing a gun battle at the office either.

@kevinjenkins6986 your theory falls threw when you realize he didn't give chase and made space from the doorway so they could escape. He definitely put lives over property here. Like the DA said, more ofter then not tellers are seriously injured or killed. The off duty officer handled this situation brilliantly and only one bank robber was injured.
