I remember Austro-Hungary having traumatic naval losses in the early days of ww1. They lost their capital ship, at the time it was the most formidable capital ship in th world.

@MrPHAELAN S.S Kaiserin Elisabeth, Capital ship of their china fleet. Fought in the battle for Tsingtao. I should specify at it's launch in 1890 it was impressive. It was dated by 1914. They were already working on their 4th dreadnaught and had 9 pre-dreadnaughts. For a armoured cruiser in 1890 though she was a beast. Things were moving like computrs in the 1990s though. Practically every year something much more impressive came out.
