When he declared an independent Ukraine he was placed in a concentration camp. Bandera followers went along with Nazis under threat of also going to a camp. Bandera was eventually released near the end of the war in an attempt by Germans to organize a ukranian screene. However Bandera fled this time around. Bandera was terrible, but he's far from the most important ukranian figure in ww2.

  5.  @UkrainianPunk180  what's radical is Putins love of Ivan Ilyin. Putin had Ilyin reburied in 2005 with celebration. He's been quoting, holding celebrations amd more ever since. Ilyin was a nazi sympathizer with dreams of pulling an Adolf in Ukraine.
