It's definitely a valuable peace time outpost. In war though it's one of those places you don't really bother defending. Definitely attack the Russians for trying to defend this not very defensible island. It gives them fish in a barel to practice drone strikes with.

@notastone4832 anything like the 200+ drones Russia claimed to destroy in early April when Ukraine only had about 170?

It has political significance but very little war time tactical advantage. In fact it's size and location in the conflict pretty much makes it a no mans land, or at least it should. In peace it has some logistics and strategic value but its minimal. The islands to small to build up much on it.

@silveriver9 the farther the launch the easier it is to intercept. The only missles that can't currently be interconnected are super sonic missels. Which Russia only has a few of. Like the Armata tank...

Didn't moskva finally sink at the port of Crimea? I'd imagine if nukes were on it Russia recovered them.

@Stevie-J i heard in a report it was a generals idea to set up his feild base at Chernobyl. He believed it was the perfect place to set up base because ukranians would never bomb a neucular power plant. Now the guy probably has radiation sickness from the red forest positions. As do his men.
