  1. Yeah let boko haram have a chance. Groups like that did so well in Iraq and Syria right? Peace keeping missions are important to prevent disasters like ISIS popping up in Africa.

  2.  Russophobia  that's a good point. It's supposed to be like tje mission to Ukraine. Just providing training and advice for them to handle their own security. Other then the US i don't think anyone else has actual combat missions. I do think there needs to be propper investment in economic development to fix the issue. Which at this point China is kind of doing.

  3.  Russophobia  Mali asked but years after the mission started 2 coups happened. The new military Junta government is wanting to align with Russia and China more. Probably because Russia and China don't care as much about human rights, or indiscriminate use of force.

  4.  @neilnelson7603  i don't think Canada is in Mali and besides. If the west leaves it's going to be like lybia or Myanmar. The government is just itching to do some cleaning and western presence is preventing a humanitarian crisis.

  5.  Russophobia  it really depends who you ask. It's kind of like Russia. Not a great government but it acts strong and strives for stability. Tho they are very forceful some people don't care they just want stability so they support the coup. Personally i think democracy works best but I can't speak for everyone. At the end of the day no system is perfect but I'm pretty sure democracy is best.

  6.  @neilnelson7603  it's not really the people choosing. It's a Juanita installed by a military coup. A bunch of generals seized power with force. Now the new unelected leaders aren't a fan of Germany or France because they want to conduct more indiscriminate operations against suspected terror groups.

  8. So boko haram dosent declare a caliph like ISIS in Iraq. Terror groups tend to destabilize their neighbors and disrupt trade.
