Many Russians who fled to the west after the war have framed this completely differently. I agree with the dissident former Russian media members. This sounds like a call to galvanize support for mobilization. The colonel belongs to a small political party with very strong ties to the Kremlin, mostly populated by former ranking officers and military intelligence personnel. This was either putins messege or a messege to Putin by his military supporters they want preparations for mobilization.

Most refugees want to go back to Ukraine as soon as their is something to go back to. If the west can make small sacrifices to help ukraine they will kep calm and carrie on. I don't think Russia can hadle the war for another 24 months. As long as the military industrial complex ofnthe west keeps ramping up putin doesent have a chance! Putin already had a smaller GDP then Canada in 2021, it's only been down hill since febuary. They can't sustain themselves to the industry of the west if we commit. After that we must commit to a marshal plan. No fees, no intrest payments or strings. Just get it dose and rebuild fir the sake of stability and security. Ukranians will flock back to Ukraine and the west will have earned a new friend and allie.

Watch the whole talk? Western media is out to lunch. He wasn't speaking against the war he was speaking for mobilization. He belongs to a pro military political party that is a off shoot of putins political party. He was giving a jingoistic speach of an existential threat to Russia as a way of drumming up support to mobilize. Western media is either ignorant or willfully misrepresenting this for propaganda purposes. Just follow any Russian news commentator or intellectual who fled to the west after the invasion. It's like they were watching diffrent channels the assessment is so different from this.

If you watch the whole speach, or follow any Russian commentators who left to the west when the war started, you would have a very different framing for this speach. It was an attempt by a man in a pro Putin pro military political group making the case for deceleration of war and full mobilisation. Long story short most political groups in Russia are really just branches of putins party, and this guy belongs to one of those political branches. He's probably saying exactly what Putin wants or he's trying to influence Putin to mobilize.

I mean if the have clean water, food, and even basic access to medical supplies then it's a world of difference. That moldy old fallout complex looks like he!! To live in for over 80 days.
