@solitivity same. I was obviously dyslexic (consently reading numbers backwards, had to use a blank paper or have my nose to the page for the words to stop moving) and it didn't help that every book they wanted us to read was depressing WWII or something completely disconnected to a kid of the modern era. If my parents didn't set me lose for and hour and a half in the library to bring them a 'treasure', I'd be illiterate to this day instead of devoring classics and Ursula K. Le Guins' entire bibliography.
