@sempreviva4564 That sounds plausible but … countries have to apply to join NATO and then get approval by all other member. The right question to ask is: why do other countries WANT to be part of the alliance.What do they fear to make them take that step? How many countries within Russia’s grasps are pledging their loyalty and allegiance to the Kremlin? Some people only see two sides fighting for supremacy. I see multiple parties desperately seeking protection from one imperial side that know will not and never has brought them any peace or stability. History proves that without any doubt.
