  1. Knowing the long standing culture of imperial tradition upheld by the Kremlin, Putin definitely wasn’t EVER saying to the west what he was really thinking. He was manoeuvring and manipulating the west/EU to a position that would purely ever benefit Moscow and it’s elite. Meanwhile, the west was like , “yeah AWSOME 🎉, let’s do business with Russia. they have tuned a leaf and are a valid partner we can trust now that the USSR is gone “ ( all EU bar the Ex Soviet states of course) 😊!
